Jump into the fun and ever changing world of animal care and adoption, at Springfield Humane Society! If you love animals and want to help them along their journey to a happy ending, this position could be for you! Experience is preferred, but we will provide some training for the positions!

PART TIME OPENING:

- Provide daily care and support for animals
- Perform routine tasks such as feeding, watering, and cleaning animal enclosures
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any abnormalities to the supervisor
- Assist with administering medications and treatments
- Handle animals safely and with compassion, following established protocols and guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of animal observations, treatments, and procedures
- Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, equipment, and work areas according to established protocols
-General customer care

```Requirements```
- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting preferred, but will provide training to the right candidate
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other staff members
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting or carrying heavy objects, standing for long periods of time, and working in various environmental conditions

-Reliable transportation is required

Hours are:

Sunday 8-12pm / night duty 3-5pm

Monday: OFF

Tuesday: OFF

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 9-1pm

Applicants should be a team player, while also being able to work independently. The job calls for routine lifting of 50lbs, and ability to handle all sizes and temperaments of cats and dogs. Reliable transportation is required, in case emergent runs to a veterinarian are needed. Animal Care Technicians must be 18 years or older.

SNOW REMOVAL:

Seeking a snow bunny for snow removal position! We are looking for an individual, 16 years and older, to shovel snow seasonally during the winter months. This will be a per-diem position, hours varying based on snow-fall/need. Shoveling will need to be completed by open hours (12pm) Wednesday-Saturdays, with flexibility on other days of the week.
